I lunged at Marcus forcefully, and he moved.  Leaving Bella exposed.  I was already in mid launch, there was no way to stop myself.  Terrified I watched the 8th of a second before I hit Bella.  She screamed when she saw Marcus move, I'm guessing she knew she'd be the one who'd get hit in this.

I did my best not to hit her, but my shoulder clipped hers, and an agonizing scream ripped through her lips.  Her shoulder was dislocated.  I snapped out of my rage in an instant.  Bella meant more than killing Marcus, she always came first, no matter what.  That's why Marcus didn't deserve her.  He would always put his duty to the Volturi first.

Bella was sobbing now, her tears were soaking her shirt.  Panick swept through me.  It was almost .2 of a second before I was able to respond.  I was so slow!

"Shh.  Shh."  I cooed to her softly.  As gently as I could I popped her arm back into the socket.  

"Aaah!"  She screeched.  When her arm was back in she began to calm down a little bit.  I never knew Bella had that kind of lung capacity.  It shocked me that I had put her through that much pain.  

I scooped her up into my arms like a baby and carried her away from Marcus.  He looked slightly triumphant.  Marcus had known that I would lunge, and he knew he was fast enough to get out of the way in time.  I walked Bella back up to her room and layed her down on the bed.  I really don't know what my expression looked like, but Bella was starting to look really guilty.

"I didn't want him to kiss me, he just did.  I'm sorry-"  She said quickly.

"Stop.   It wasn't your fault.  I'm just frustrated sweetheart.  Marcus planned it and I hurt you so lose lose."  I said rubbing her arm soothingly.

"It wasn't your fault.  He baited you.  If it had been me I'd have done the same thing."  Bella said calmly.  Could she ever blame anyone?  Sometimes selfless people piss me off.  I'm funny that way.

I opened my mouth to tell her to stop being like that, but what good did that ever do?  After a moment of silence between us, Bella sat back up.  She leaned her side against mine and sighed.  

"Did you remember the food?"  She asked.

I smiled wryly at her.  "It's just downstairs, I'll go get it."  I ran down, grabbed the bag and was up in an instant.  Bella wolfed down the food and seemed extremely tired after that, so I talked her into taking some rest.  She fought it at first but then I hummed her lulliby, and she was out in moments.  I would get her out of here.

The next morning:

Bella woke up and kissed my softly on the neck because she didn't bother to stand on her tip toes to kiss me on the lips.  I chuckled softly, her being short had always made me smile.  I looked down at her and smiled.  I picked her up by the waist effortlessly and allowed her to kiss me for a while before gently pushing us apart.  Like her, I too wished we could go further, but I knew I wouldn't be able to controll myself.
